FAQ for CraftPro Test Strips
Q: Are these for Commercial Brewers or Homebrewers?
A: Both! We designed CraftPro with input from commercial brewers, but these are the same parameters that are needed for great homebrew beers as well.
Q: Can I use the Test Strips for Wort or Beer?
A: Yes, you can use the CraftPro DIY test strips for wort or beer, but with some limitations. They work in liquids with less than 10% alcohol and at temperatures between 40-120°F. If you need to test higher alcohol liquids, we recommend our In-Lab testing option.
Q: Should I use DIY or In-Lab?
A: We designed In-Lab and DIY testing to work together. In-Lab testing gives you precise concentrations for each water parameter, so you know exactly what's in your water. DIY test strips are then used on brew day to monitor for sudden changes in water chemistry. If you’re mainly looking for an affordable way to keep an eye on your water and avoid a bad batch, the DIY test strips alone are a great option.
